About Founder

Sri Ganesh Chandra Shaha, our founder, was a visionary man from an early age and he
always had a noble purpose of enriching people’s lives. Despite his humble beginnings, he aspired to achieve greatness and help mankind through his work.

He was born in Puranbajar in Chandpur district (now in Bangladesh). He was a very intelligent student and always desired to accomplish something on his own since he was a teenager. His father Sri Manmohan Shaha had a small business selling paan, betel nuts, and other grocery items in Chandpur. After completing I.Com., he began working in his father’s farm. However, his high ambition soon drove him to launch his own fruit business, importing fruits from Silchar and Calcutta and selling them in the local market.

But his mission was leaned towards the betterment of people rather than just focusing on his own business. As the local unemployment rate was quite high in Chandpur at that time, he decided to open a biri factory in order to employ a large number of people. Because of his encouraging attitude and leadership, the factory started growing quickly and many people became employed. And despite numerous obstacles and difficulties, he was able to expand into other states and build factories and depots there.
As a person, he was a very humble and religious man and was inspired by the Vedas. He believed that human beings can elevate themselves by the knowledge of the Vedas and always tried to guide people through it. He was opposed to all forms of prejudice and always challenged social notions that don’t serve humanity. He always endeavoured to have a positive impact on others, and everyone was deeply influenced by his generosity and optimistic attitude.
Later in life, he wrote his book Manab Kalyan based on his own life experiences and the wisdom he had acquired in his journey. His philanthropic works also inspired many people and changed their lives
